Woodrow Wyant

Woodrow Wyant, 85, of Portsmouth died Thurs., April 23, 2009. He was born May 6, 1923 in Scioto County, a son of the late Lewis and Rosella Spriggs Wyant. He was a member of 7th St. Christian Baptist Church where he was a trustee and bus driver,and was retired from KY. Electric Supply. He is survived by a son, Douglas (Ruth) Wyant; two daughters, Wilma (Larry) George and Margaret (Doug) Krawczyk; 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Sloas Wyant; a daughter, Willa Dean Blank; 5 brothers, Homer, Jim, Phillip, Harry and Frank Wyant; 2 sisters, Net Shumway and Deliale McClintic. Services will be 11 AM Tues. April 28, 2009 at D.W. Swick Funeral Home in New Boston with Pastor Mike Bender officiating. Burial will be at Old Wheelersburg Cemetery. Visitation will be Mon. 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM and Tues. 10 to 11 AM at D.W. Swick in New Boston.
