Willard L. Mcbrayer, Sr.

Willard "Mac" L. McBrayer, Sr. 80, of Boyce, passed away Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital after a short illness. Mac was born on July 7, 1942, and raised in South Webster, Ohio. He held several jobs from working in the steel mill in Portsmouth, Ohio, to offshore work and owning his own truck driving company. Mac proudly served in the United States Navy and retired from the United States Air Force. He was devoted to his family and friends and was an avid fisherman. Mac loved animals, especially his dogs. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Willard "Will" McBrayer, Jr. and Teresa Gilmore and husband, Michael; seven grandchildren, Anthony Gilmore, Kathleen LaRue, Allison Gilmore, Chance McBrayer, Cheri McBrayer, DJ McBrayer, and Angela McBrayer; along with 10 great-grandchildren and two siblings, Bill McBrayer and Ruth Waring. Mac is preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Naomi McBrayer; his parents, Earl and Lottie McBrayer; two brothers, James McBrayer and Robert McBrayer; grandson, Timothy Gilmore; and daughter-in-law, Vicky McBrayer. Graveside Service will be 11:00 AM Saturday July 22, 2023 at CM Cemetery in Oak Hill, Ohio with Military Honors . Funeral Service is under the direction of D. W.
