Wanda Faye Foster

Wanda Faye Foster, 93 of Portsmouth passed away Sunday, February 21, 2021 at SOMC Hospice in Portsmouth.  She was born to the late Thurman and Fannie (Sizemore) James on February 5, 1928 in Carter County, KY.  Wanda was a graduate of Glenwood High School in New Boston.  She was of the Pentecostal faith and loved taking care of people and going to church.

Wanda is survived by cousins, Kelly Lewis of Ashland, KY, Nina James and husband Vernon of Grayson, KY,  Linda Lewis and husband Troy of Grayson, KY,  Sheila Ball of Ceredo, WV, and Karen Eslanger of Illinois, and a brother-in-law, Jack Foster and wife Louise of Greenup, KY.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Cletis E. Foster whom she married June 17, 1949 at Russell, KY and a brother, Arthur James.

Funeral Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 26, 2021 at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME in New Boston with Pastor Tommy Romans officiating.  Interment will follow at Memorial Burial Park.  Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the services on Friday.  Online condolences may be left at [email protected] .
