Vernon Robinson

Vernon Lee Robinson, 70 of Franklin Furnace died Sat., July 18, 2009 at his residence. He was born May 10, 1939 in Ironton, a son of the late Vernon L. Robinson, Sr and Evelyn Richendollar Robinson. He was a former mechanic and a Marine Corp veteran. He is survived by his wife of 48 yrs., Pauline Bowling Robinson; two sons, Christopher M. Robinson and fiancee Leeann Wilson of Franklin Furnace and Ricky L. Robinson and wife Debbie of Marion; one daughter, Ann Borden and husband Robert of Sciotoville;a stepdaughter, Mattie Davis of Wheelersburg; one brother, George Robinson and wife Linda of Columbus; two sisters, Grace Bowen of Wheelersburg and Dorothy Mollett and husband Parma of Marion; 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.Services will be 1 PM Wed., July 22, 2009 at D.W. Swick Funeral Home in New Boston with Pastors Parker Mollett and Bob Stiltner officiating. Burial will be at Brick Union cemetery with military honors by James Dickey Post 23, American Legion.
