Velma Joyce Parker

Velma Joyce Parker, age 86 of Brunswick, Ohio went to meet her Lord and Savior on December 26, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born in Portsmouth, Ohio on May 18, 1938, to the late Charlie and Verbie Ehrhart.

She is survived by her children, Frank “Skip” and Analyn “Hannah” Parker and Joy and Jon Seladi; Brothers Mike (Sharon) and Beany (Cindy) Ehrhart; Grandchildren, Andrew and Aliyah Parker, Fur Grandchildren Tristian, Sheldon, Elliott and Charlotte, and many beloved nephews and nieces including Katie who provided her with amazing care at the end of her life. 

She was reunited with her husband Andy Parker, parents and her sisters Kay Carter and Freda Ehrhart, when she entered into the gates of Heaven. We are certain there was much rejoicing.

Velma loved cooking, gardening, reading, Cleveland sports teams (especially the Cavs) and The Ohio State Buckeyes. Most of all Velma loved her family. “Sassy” will be missed by all who knew her.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 30, 2024 at SWICK-BENTLEY FUNERAL HOME in New Boston, 1104 Harrisonville Avenue, New Boston, OH with Pastor Dusty Dalton officiating Interment will follow at AB Gold Kiser Cemetery in Carter City, KY Friends may call from 10-11a.m. before the service.
