Valerie Lynn Montgomery

Valerie Lynn Montgomery, 42, of Lucasville passed away Monday, August 5, 2024 at Adena Medical Center in Piketon. She was born February 18, 1982 in Columbus to Timothy Montgomery and Brenda (Jackson) Montgomery. Valerie liked to have a good time. She liked to drive around and listen to music, she also liked going on camping trips and swimming. Valerie loved nature and watching butterflies. She loved her family especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Valerie is survived by one son, Michael Cannady of Piketon; six daughters, Abigail Cannady of Chillicothe, Gabby Cannady and boyfriend Chris McDaniel of Lucasville, Shellby Cannady of Ottway, Sarabeth Cannady of Ottway, Erin Hagan of Waverly, and Jayden Hagan of Waverly; one brother, Daniel Montgomery of Columbus, two sisters, Tracy Montgomery of Columbus and Aimie Cantley and husband Kevin of Columbus; and four grandchildren, Bentley Swart, Grayson Cannady, Lucas Cannady and Maelynn Grooms. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Jamie Montgomery and Casey Moore.
A funeral service will be held 4:00 pm Monday, August 12, 2024 at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME in New Boston. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3:00 pm until 4:00 pm at the funeral home. Online condolences may be left at www.DWSwickFuneralHome.com.
