Age 94 of Portsmouth, went to be with the Lord on March 24, 2016 in Wheelersburg She was born June 8, 1921 in Portsmouth to Bernie and Lena (Martin) Montgomery Sylvia was a homemaker who, in addition to raising children, was a talented artist and seamstress She was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by one daughter, Thea Jayne Riggs of Wheelersburg; one sister, Georgetta Craft of New Boston; many grandchildren including Deborah Henson and Lacey Riggs, both of Portsmouth; great-grandchildren including Staci and Shane; many great-great-grandchildren including Jordan and Jasomyn; five stepchildren; many step-grandchildren In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two husbands, Loren Emory DePriest and Paul R. Cooper; one daughter, Lorene DePriest; one son, Bernie DePriest; one sister, Betty Elrod.
Services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at D.W.
