Steven Keller

Steven D. Keller, 62, of Wheelersburg passed away Friday, September 29, 2023, at Southern Ohio Medical Center. He was born December 22, 1960 in Portsmouth to the late Franklin Sturgill and Rebecca (Mayhew) Keller. Steven was a 1979 graduate of Portsmouth East High School and attended the Scioto County Vocational School. He served in the United States Navy and was stationed in Japan and the Philippines. He also served on the U.S.S. Independence during the Persian Gulf War. He loved to read and listen to music. Steven was an avid Ohio State Football fan and loved spending time with his family. He never met a stranger. Steven is survived by a daughter, Sammy Keller and fiancée Drew Wilson; two brothers, Robert Keller and wife Becky of Westerville and Jeff Keller of Minford; a sister, Frances Merritt and husband Larry of Lucasville; and many nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Kimberly Nolen and Pam Gambill. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME in New Boston with Pastor Lorenzo Bentley officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Burial Park in Wheelersburg with military graveside honors presented by the James A.
