Steven Lee Duncan

Steven Lee Duncan, 61, of Portsmouth passed away Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Ky.  He was born in Portsmouth to Billy Lee and Fern Elizabeth (Richmond) Duncan on August 10, 1961.  Steven was a graduate of Greenup County High School and retired from G&J Pepsi in Franklin Furnace.  He was an avid hunter, fisherman and loved to travel and especially go camping.  He enjoyed going to his grandchildren’s sporting events, having family get togethers and was very interested in history.

In addition to his parents Steven is survived by his wife, Iva Duncan of Portsmouth; a daughter, Carolyn Gargiulo and husband Joey of New Port Richey, Fl; two brothers, Barry Keith Duncan and Susie Alley of Belafonte, Ky, and Timothy Ross Duncan and wife Louvina of Summerton, SC; grandchildren, Michaela McRoberts and husband Luke and Caden Gargiulo; all his friends from Pepsi.  In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in Steven’s name to Community Hospice, 1480 Carter Avenue, Ashland, KY 41101.

A celebration of life will be held 6:00 p.m. Monday June 5, 2023 at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME in New Boston.  There will be a gathering of family and friends from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  Online condolences may be left at DWSwickFuneralHome.com.
