Kenneth Nolan Silvey

Kenneth Nolan Silvey, 74, affectionately known as Nolan, was born on June 20, 1950, in Oak Hill, Ohio. Went to be with the Lord from his home on April 12, 2025.

Nolan retired after many years of devoted service at Radio Shack in New Boston, where he was well-respected for his commitment to assisting customers with care and attention. His warm personality made him not just a colleague but also a friend to many in the community.

Nolan was a loving family man who cherished his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his stepsons, Christopher Gibson and his wife Janice of Friendship, and Steven Thrasher of Sciotoville. He leaves behind his stepdaughters, Angel Gibson of Toledo and Nikki Bashaw and her husband Jason of West Portsmouth, along with a remarkable legacy of seventeen grandchildren who will forever remember the values and love he imparted to them. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law, Penny Secrist of Portsmouth and Tressie Taylor and her husband Arthur of Portsmouth, along with his brother-in-law Jim Gibson and his wife Becky of West Portsmouth.

Nolan's personality shone through in all he did; he had a great love for animals and took pleasure in watching NASCAR racing.

He joins in eternal rest his parents, Kenneth and Martha Silvey, his beloved wife Judy Silvey, and two sisters who preceded him in death.

A visitation in honor of Nolan will take place on April 16, 2025, from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at SWICK BENTLEY FUNERAL HOME in New Boston. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM with Pastor Ryan Hagen officiating.  Interment will take place at a later date.
