He is also survived by his father, Denny Bays. He was preceded in death by four grandfathers, Paul Holcomb, Terry Douthat, Edward Morrow, and John Bays.

Shane unexpectedly is gone too soon. He had so much more to do in this life.  Shane was a very smart and handsome young man. He loved to be outdoors and enjoy nature and science.  Growing up he was into hunting, fishing, camping, and four wheeling. He played football, baseball, and basketball. Shane was a very active person. He was big about being healthy, eating healthy and taking care of his body. Shane was very smart on computers and technology. There wasnt anything he couldn't do or figure out.  Shane had a talent to be able to not ever have done something working on a car, handyman work, computers, carpentry anything he put his mind to he could figure out how to fix it or make it work. It was amazing to see that when he would say "I cant fix that" or "I've never done that before but I can try to do it and put it together" and he would always figure it out. He had a normal childhood and was loved so much. As he got into his high school years he became more independent and that's when the darkness took over.  Shane battled for years with his addiction.  He had times of sobriety when he was happy and working , staying fit being a wonderful and funny , son, brother, uncle, grandson, nephew, and friend. He wanted to get more involved in his family and mend relationships. Shane had alot of enjoyment in life, one thing he could always do was make anyone around him laugh. He could catch you off guard with his jokes but they were hilarious.  He had so much potential and is gone too soon. His memory will live through his family and his loved ones. Another life lost too soon.
