Age 86 of Portsmouth, passed away on Sunday, November 6, 2016 at Crystal Care in Portsmouth She was born December 13, 1929 in Chesapeake to William and Emma (Paul) Langdon She was a graduate of Chesapeake High School and also a graduate of Marshall University with a degree in teaching Rosemary was a teacher at Portsmouth West High School and the South Eastern Business College in New Boston She was a lifetime member of Alpha Iota Sorority, District 2 Chapter. She loved life, teaching, her animals, and bluegrass, but most of all she loved her family and always put them first.
Rosemary is survived by her two sons, Earl (Tara) Newton of Portsmouth, Howard (Lola) Newton of Portsmouth; seven grandchildren, Stephanie (Jared) Hettinger, Nathan Newton, Nick Newton, Austin Newton, Christian Payne, Tory Newton, and Alec Newton; two great-grandchildren, Payton Newton and Axl Hettinger.
The family would like to thank SOMC Hospice and Crystal Care of Portsmouth for the amazing care given to Rosemary over the years.
