Rory Michael Howard

Rory Michael Howard age 52 of Portsmouth, born March 1, 1970, to the Richard and Paula Howard.  Rory passed away on November 20, 2022, at SOMC Hospice Center in Portsmouth.  Rory was a semi-truck operator and a construction tradesman.  He was preceded in death by his son, Rory M. Howard; mother, Paula Jean Howard; sister, Rajeana Howard; brother, Rocky C. Howard; nephew Joshua D. Howard.

Rory is survived by his father, Richard Howard and stepmother, Sherry Howard of South Carolina; brother, Ron and Vicky Howard of South Carolina; brother, Richard Howard of South Carolina; brother Ryan Howard of Florida; sister, Raynella Bailey of Portsmouth; daughters, Kyra Howard of Portsmouth and Raqueal and Jacob Shope of Lucasville; two granddaughters, Rayleigh and Olivia; three grandsons, Ryder, River and Levi; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; a special aunt, Joy Saylor of Portsmouth. Special mention of his Hospice nurse Billy Dunigan, a very special nurse who cared for him.  He thought the world of her as did we all.  Thank you for being such a compassionate nurse during such a difficult time.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday November 23, 2022, at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME in New Boston with Pastor Larry Blevins officiating.  Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Franklin Furnace.  Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.  Online Condolences may be left at DWSwickFuneralHome.com.
