Ronald D. Chamberlin of Wheelersburg, passed away, Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at the OSU James Cancer Hospital in Columbus. Ron was born on January 8, 1945, the son of the late William and Deliliah Coriell Chamberlin. He was also preceded in death by 2 brothers-in-law, Ray Ishmael and Paul White and father-in-law, Dale Marsh. Ron was a retired Boilermaker from Local 105 where he spent many years working at Aristech Chemical. He took great pride in being co-owner of Misty’s Kone Shoppe in Wheeelersburg . Ron was a kind and caring man who was known for lending a helping hand to those who needed it and was also member of the Wheelersburg United Methodist Church and a 1965 graduate of Portsmouth East High School.
Ron is survived by his wife, Keri Ann Marsh Chamberlin, daughter, Anne Michelle Chamberlin, one son, Nathan (Jenny) Chamberlin and three special grandchildren that he adored, Ella, Lane and Ava Kate Chamberlin all of Wheelersburg; mother-in-law, Maxella Marsh of Sciotoville; a brother-in-law Ty (Laurie) Marsh of Columbus. He also is survived by 7 brothers and 4 sisters, Ruth Ishmael of Aiken, SC, Shirley (John) Hoskins, Vaughn (Brenda) Chamberlin, Jack (Mary) Chamberlin, Geneene (James) Collins, Bill Chamberlin, Randall (Connie) Chamberlin, Timothy (Donna) Chamberlin, Rodney (Lynn) Chamberlin, Karlene (Bill) Thompson all of Wheelersburg and Mark (Crystal) Chamberlin of Sciotoville. Ron had numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews as well as his life-long friend and special cousin, Pat (Diane) Chamberlin of Sciotoville.
A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, January 31, 2015 at the Swick-Bussa-Chamberlin Funeral Home in Wheelersburg with Pastor Perry Prosch officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Burial Park. The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 p.m. on Friday and one hour prior to the service on Saturday. In lieu of flower the family asks that donations be made to the Wheelersburg United Methodist Church Shining Light Childrens Program.
