Age 79 of Portsmouth, died Sunday, January 10, 2016 at Southern Ohio Hospice in Portsmouth He was born March 13, 1936 in Greenup, KY to Clyde and Nellie (Dawson) Parlin He graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1954 Bob was a member of the New Boston Eagles, great fan of the Cleveland Browns, and retired from working as a foreman from Dayton Walther Foundry
He is survived by three daughters, Bobbi (Scott) Shope of South Webster, Tara (Keith) Stone of Wheelersburg, Traci Parlin of Portsmouth; two grandsons, Brandon Hickman and Brian Hickman (Heidi); one granddaughter, Nicole (Jarod) Bonnick; three great-grandchildren, Hannah Hughes-Hickman, Sierra Bonnick, and Brett Bonnick; several nieces and nephews In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Clyde Parlin and Ronald Parlin; three sisters, Deloris Shump, Wanda Hunt, and Betty Calhoun.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 14, 2016 at D.W.SWICK-NELSON FUNERAL HOME in New Boston Friends may call Wednesday from 5 - 7 p.m. and Thursday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home Interment will take place at a later date in Sunset Memorial Gardens in Franklin Furnace Online condolences may be sent to www.DWSwickNelsonFuneralHome.com.
