Robert Lee Keibler, 93, of Portsmouth passed away at his home on Saturday, August 3, 2024. He was born in Portsmouth to the late Ellis Clark Keibler and Addie Mae Dixon on February 27, 1931. Bob proudly served in the U.S. Army in Germany during the Korean War. He was a member of the F&AM Portsmouth Aurora Lodge #48, he was also a member of El Hasa Shriners out of Ashland, KY and a member of the Scottish Rite. Bob retired out the Carpenters local 437. He loved to attend football games, he was a proud supporter of the Portsmouth Trojans, and in his younger days coached his sons’ football teams. Bob loved the outdoors spending many years fishing and hunting. He also loved to go into the woods to locate saplings that he could carve into walking sticks, he was very proud of the walking sticks he was able to give to family and friends over the years. He loved his family with a passion, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Bob is survived by his wife, Anna Keibler of Portsmouth; three sons, Steven Keibler of Colorado Springs, CO, Robert Scott Keibler and wife Lynn of Portsmouth, and Michael Keibler and wife Kristina of Portsmouth; two daughters, Vickie Crouch and husband Bill of Colorado Springs, CO, and Tammy Lawson of Wheelersburg; a sister, Marjorie Bloomfield of Portsmouth; nine grandchildren, Amanda Bentley, Heather Rachford, Jason Crouch, Justin Crouch, Matthew Payton, Brooklyn Keibler, Breanna Keibler, Kelsie Keibler, and Kaylie Keibler; and many great grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his step-father, Lonzo Bloomfield; a brother, John Keibler; and a sister, Nancy Neal. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 9, 2024 at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME in New Boston with Reverend Danny Neal officiating. Interment will follow at Friendship Cemetery with military graveside rites being provided by James Dickey Post #23 of the American Legion. The family will receive friends Thursday, August 8, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the services on Friday. Online condolences may be left at DWSwickFuneralHome.com.
