Richard E. Adams, 64, of Portsmouth, Ohio died Sunday October 20, 2013 at Southern Ohio Medical Center. He was born December 29, 1948, in Chillicothe to The late Otto Adams and the late Minnie Nesser Adams Leasure. He loved the Notre Dame bingo and was a former member of the OIADA Trucking Assoc. and James Dickey Post Odd Fellows.

He is survived by his wife and Companion of 27 years, Cheryl Pierce of Portsmouth, his loving Mother who raised him, Norma Adams of Washington Courthouse; his first wife, Marcia Bonds, of Greenfield; one son Jack (Nikki) Armstrong of Portsmouth;

two daughters, Michele (Jimmy) Lloyd of Beaver, Stephanie (John) Woodard of Piketon; five sisters, Linda (Kenny) Coy ,Teresa Adams of Washington Courthouse, Sue (Mike) Post, Naomi Kinniman and Jackie Adams, of Chillicothe. Two brothers Jim Nesser of Florida, Norman Leasure of Chillicothe; 4 grandchildren, Vera Lloyd of Beaver, Dillon, Dalton and Devon Hopkins of Piketon and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by one brother Mike Leasure, two sisters Norma Dunn and Cathy Byrd and 3 grandchildren. Funeral Services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday Oct. 232, 2013 at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME IN NEW BOSTON, with Pastor Kenny Carver Sr. officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Burial Park.
