Reatha Cole

Reatha Cole, 95, of Portsmouth passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at Rosemount Pavilion. She was born December 31, 1928 to the late Chester E. and Letitia (Blakeman) Delph.  Reatha was a faithful member of Twin Valley Baptist Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir.  She formerly worked at Williams Manufacturing Company, Mitchellace Factory and was a waitress at the former Town House restaurant.  She also enjoyed listening to Christian music on the radio.

Reatha is survived by two nieces, Beverly Hamilton and husband Jeff of Morganton, NC and Sharon L. Webb and husband Bill of Waverly; two nephews, Nolan R. Traylor of Durham, NC and Ricky E. Delph and wife Vicki of Wheelersburg. In addition to her parents Reatha was preceded in death by her husband, Glen Cole; a brother, Baxter E. Delph; two sisters, Thelma L. Nurse and Pauline Traylor.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 27, 2024, at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME in New Boston with Pastor Jeff Chinn officiating.  Interment will follow at Memorial Burial Park in Wheelersburg.  The family will receive friends on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m.
