Raymond "Jock" Murphy

Raymond "Jock" Murphy, 64, of Slocum Heights, Portsmouth, died Wed. Jan. 7, 2009 at Southern Ohio Medical Center. He was born Nov. 8, 1944 in Portsmouth a son of the late Carl and Thelma Craft Murphy. He is survived by a son, Dan Walker of Circleville; two daughters, Rhonda Ballengee and husband David of McDermott and Nina Moore and husband Dan of Myrtle Beach, SC; two brothers, Gaylen Murphy of Circleville and Charles Murphy of Chesapeake; two sisters, Linda Charles of Wheelersburg and Nancy Music of Lucasville; 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by a grandson, J.J. Mills. Memorial services will be 11 AM Thurs., Jan. 15, 2009 at Shawnee Hills Baptist Church with Rev. Kenneth Easter officiating.
