Plura Marie Lindsay, 85, died Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at SOMC Hospice Center. She was born August 1, 1923 in Sciotoville, a daughter of the late Samuel and Nancy Lewis Eldridge. She was a former food service supervisor , member of New Life Worship Center , D.A.V. Auxilliary where she served one year as 9TH District Commander, Eastern Star of Camp Knox, KY. and was a Kentucky Colonial. She is survived by her husband, Charlie Lindsay whom she married on April, 1, 1966 in Ft. Knox, KY.; one daughter, Phyllis Lore of Tylertown, Miss.; six sons, Sam Stiltner, Thomas Stiltner and John Stiltner all New Orleans, LA., Charles Lindsay of Concord, NC, Anthony Lindsay of El Paso, TX. and Richard Lindsay of Covington, LA. Several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great -great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a son, James Stiltner; 5 sisters, Olive Eldridge, Della Eldridge, Jo Anne Eldridge, Ethel Barfield and Faye Lawson; 5 brothers, Jesse, Henry, Otis, Howard and Walter Eldridge. Services will be 1 PM Friday, Feb. 13, 2009 at D.W. Swick Funeral Home in New Boston with Rev. Mike Gifford officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Burial Park. Visitation will be Thursday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM and Friday 12 noon to 1 PM at D.W. Swick in New Boston. Online condolences to dwswickfuneralhome.com
