Phyllis M. Garland, 56, was received by our Lord on February 15, 2010. She was born on January 9, 1954. Phyllis is survived by her beloved husband, Jerry Garland; two daughters, Estella B. (Chris) Collins and Sunshine M. Stevens all of Portsmouth;one son, J.D. (Stephanie) Burden of Indiana; 9 beautiful grandchildren whom she loved dearly and 2 sisters and 5 brothers. Memorial services will be 7 PM Saturday at D.W. Swick Funeral Home in New Boston. A gathering of family and friends will be 5 to 7 PM Saturday at D.W. Swick in New Boston.
