Peggy Sue Campbell

Peggy Sue Campbell, 65, of Portsmouth passed away Thursday, March 14, 2024 at SOMC Hospice Center in Portsmouth.  She was born in Huntington, WV to the late Anzel Campbell and Lois (Dickison) Rhea on August 16, 1958.  Peggy loved traveling and spending time with her family. She enjoyed the small things in life and her greatest indulgence was iced coffee from McDonalds.  Peggy was a strong woman and battled cancer since 2015.

Peggy is survived by her son, Shannon Madden of Portsmouth; three brothers, James Campbell and wife Beth of South Shore, Bill Campbell and wife Erika and children William Jr., Faith and David of Portsmouth and Katey Campbell of Chillicothe, and Jason Campbell and wife Tangula and son Jace Campbell of South Shore; a sister, Cindy Nuckols and her children Cindy, Stephanie, Steven and Brandon of Wheelersburg; two grandchildren, Clayton Madden and Zachary Madden; two special nephews, John Wiles and girlfriend Staci Holstein of Portsmouth and James Wiles of Portsmouth; Special great nephews, Jensen Wiles, and Maddix Holstein. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Madden; a son, Clayton Madden, and a sister, Debbie Fields.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME in New Boston with Pastor Jared Timberlake officiating and interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Franklin Furnance.  Online condolences may be left at DWSwickFuneralHome.com.
