Patricia Fannin, 89, of New Boston passed away Saturday October 30, 2021 at Hillview. She was born August 2, 1932 in Minford, a daughter of the late Sam and Ruby (Bayes) Williams. She was a graduate of Glenwood High School, served there as a Food Service Supervisor having retired after 35 years. She served on the School Board for 10 years and was a member of the New Boston Church of God. She will be remembered dearly by many that passed thru her lunch lines at New Boston Schools and her cheering for the Tigers. Patty had a passion for shopping, was a big supporter of the New Boston Tigers, enjoyed porch sitting with the neighbors and most of all spending time with her grandchildren. Patty is survived by her son, Sam Fannin and wife Vicki of New Boston; grandchildren, Neal (Lori) Fannin, Nicole (Joe) Rawlins and Amy Yelley; great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn (Shane) Buckley, Morgan Rawlins, Madeline McIntyre, Andrea Yelley and Jeffery Yelley; one great great-grandson, Slade Buckley and Brenda Thompson, a special person in her life that she thought of as a daughter. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Fannin and a son Jeff Fannin; sister Betty Carter and niece Donna Hurley. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday November 3, 2021 at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME in New Boston with Pastor Acy Gibson officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Burial Park. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6 to 8 PM and Wednesday 12 Noon to 1 PM at the funeral home. A special thanks to the Hillview and SOMC Hospice Staff for their loving care.
