Mindy M. Cook

Mindy M. Cook, 36 of New Philadelphia, formerly of Scioto County, passed away Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Union Hospital Emergency Room. She was born March 24, 1981 in Portsmouth to the late Mitchell and Catherine Cook Houston. Mindy was a 1999 graduate of Clay High School. She loved any kind of sports, music, taking pictures, fishing, and most of all babysitting.
She is survived by her wife, Michelle Cook, a son Eli Cook, a daughter, Keara Davis, all of New Philadelphia; stepfather, Rick Cook of Portsmouth; mother and father in-law, Vincent and Karen Santaniello and brother in-law, Michael (Holly) Jones, all of New Philadelphia; three sisters, Alberta Cook, Melissa Cook, and Kimberly Plummer, all of Portsmouth; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. In her death, Mindy joined her parents; stepmother, Linnie Cook; sister, Margaret Houston; grandmother, Margaret Cook; and Ginger and Louie Swaim.
Services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday February 22, 2018 at D.W. SWICK-NELSON FUNERAL HOME in New Boston with interment to follow at Scioto Furnace Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. and Thursday 1 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
