Michelle Fuentes

Michelle Fuentes, aka (Michi) age 15 of West Portsmouth, passed away Sunday, June 16, 2024 at SOMC Hospice.She was born August 7, 2008. Michelle was an extraordinary soul. The cancer journey that she went through was unimaginable!
She attended Notre Dame Elementary School K-3rd; then STEM Academy 7th-10th. Michelle was involved in theater and art club and was a former dance student at Rhythm n’ Rhinestones from toddler- 8 years old. Michelle Attended Amy Hood Howard Music class in Wheelersburg for two years. She also
attended violin sessions at BBB music center in Chillicothe from 2019 until 2020. Michelle enjoyed drawing, baking, singing, dancing, arts and crafts and video games. She was a vibrant, smart, loving and kind young teen. She was so in love with art and her amazing sisters. Her life was art.

From her fashion style, to her artwork, learning to play violin,  bracelet-making, and developing games. The way she laughed, to her hello kitty and friends collection, to her sense of humor, to the way she managed her illness and pain.

Everyone she met left with her love and kindness.

Michelle is survived by her loving mother Lisbet Fuentes-Manzanarez and father Juan Fuentes, her big sis Alma, her twin sis Alexis, little sis Sofia, her devoted grandparents; Grampy Esteban Manzanarez and Grandma Ofelia, her caring grandma Juventina, her pets Oscar, Tucker, and Luna whom her world revolved around, her best friend for life (bffl) Lorraine Witherell, her big sis boyfriend Eric (Lee), her Godmother Lizet, and many aunties, uncles, and five cousins.

Her grandfather Guadalupe Fuentes 12-22-1960- 7-20-2003 proceeded her in death.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 23, 2024 at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME in New Boston where friends may call from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm.  Interment will follow at Scioto Burial Park in McDermott. Online condolences may be left at DWSwickFuneralHome.com .
