Mary Robinson Goddard, our dear mother, left this world on March 27,2023 and joined Jesus at the age of 76.  Mom was charming, lively, determined, courageous, hardworking and sometimes had a little mean streak in her.  She was the oldest of thirteen children and grew up working alongside her siblings on a farm in Greenup, KY. She loved going to Bingo and playing Skipbo. She always had her word search book with her, so she could, “keep her mind sharp.”   After 56 years, she quit smoking and gave all the glory to God who made it possible.  Amen!  She enjoyed many years working at Harold’s Restaurant in Portsmouth, Ohio, and loved all her customers. An excellent  mixologist, customers and friends were welcomed by her beautiful smile.  She was fun and loved to laugh.  She moved to Myrtle Beach to be with her daughters, Julia and Lottie. Experiencing treasured memories during her last couple of years.  She would never miss a Sunday to hear Pastor Tommy at Midtown Vineyard Church. Her morning devotional and prayer time was so important to her. She always enjoyed her telephone conversations with her daughter, Donna, which brightened her day. She loved being with people,  and going out to eat in Myrtle Beach. Mary looked forward to her Saturday yard sales and special lunch outings with Lottie, visiting with neighbors at Myrtle Pointe, visiting Brookgreen Gardens, spending quality time with her daughter, Julia, and spending quality time with her friend, Darlene Rhode.  Mom will be sadly missed and will always hold a special place in our hearts.
Mary was preceded in death by: a wonderful husband of 33 years, William “Bill” Goddard, who was the love of her life.  They lived in New Boston, Ohio. Her beautiful mother, Ruth Robinson; her father, Raymond Robinson, her sister, Erlene Estes; her brother, Milton Robinson; and sweet dog, Max. Those left to cherish Mary’s memory include her daughters, Julia Conn McBride of Myrtle Beach, SC., Lottie Davenport (Jack) of Myrtle Beach, SC., Donna Guy of Newark, OH;  Grandchildren, Dalton Davenport, Colton Davenport, Johnna Guy, Rosie Guy, Justin Conn, and Great-grandchildren.  Her Stepchildren, Chris Goddard (Julie) of Minford, OH., Michelle Gamp of Minford, OH., Eric Goddard of Knoxville, TN.;  Three step-grandchildren, Tyler, Travis and Tanner Gamp.  Sisters: Darlene Canter, Diane Hamilton, Dottie Wilburn, Charolette Reale, and Sheila Cooper.
