Mary Eloise Cotton, 86, of Minford went home to be with her Lord on Monday, May 4, 2015 at Southern Ohio Medical Center's emergency room. She was born May 29, 1928 in Portsmouth, a daughter of the late Hobert and Lillian Flaugher Fannin. She was a former member of Grace Baptist Church and attended Minford Bible Baptist Church. She was a member of the Lucasville Eastern Star, Past Matrons, the Willow Garden Club, the Quilting Club and worked at the former Bluebird Bakery.
Eloise is survived by two sons, Gerald Cotton and wife Rissa of Rosemount and Larry Cotton of Minford; one daughter, Vicki Shoemaker and husband Keith of Minford; 13 grandchildren, Jerry, Bill, Chris, Matt, Derrick, Tina, Patrick, Tara, Melissa, Megan, Emily, Amy and Ryan; 30 great-grand children; and a special friend, Robin Whitt. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Cotton, and a brother, Charles Fannin.
Services will be 11 a.m Friday May 8, 2015 at Minford Bible Baptist Church with Pastor Brett McGraw officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Thursday 5 to 7 p.m at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME IN NEW BOSTON and Friday 10 to 11 a.m at the church. Condolences to www.dwswickfuneralhome.com.
