Mary Maxine Carver

Mary Maxine Carver, 71, of West Portsmouth, passed away Friday November 19, 2021 at Southern Ohio Medical Center. She was born April 4, 1950 in Perry Co., Kentucky, a daughter of the late Homer and Lona (Miller) Rigsby. Mary was a former Nursing Assistant, attended 7th Street Christian Baptist Church where she was very active in all the church functions. She enjoyed camping, playing Bingo and spending time with her family. Mary is survived by her husband, Ralph Carver of West Portsmouth; a son, Vernon "Eddie" Carver and Rhonda of McDermott; two daughters, Kimberly Galloway and Steven of West Portsmouth and Lona Lynn Chaffin and Jason of Lucasville; a sister, Alice Summers of Sugar Grove, 19 grandchildren, 9 great-great grandchildren and daughter in-law, Charlene Carver. Mary was also preceded in death by a son, Jeremiah "Andy" Carver. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday November 24, 2021 at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME in New Boston with Pastor Lisa Crawford officiating. Interment will follow at Scioto Burial Park.
