Martha J. Gills, 94, of Eaton, Ohio, died Thursday September 28, 2017.  She was born August 12, 1923 in Clay Township, a daughter of the late Jacob and Bertha (Bard) Yinger She was a 1941 graduate of Clay High School Martha served her country in the WACS during WW II, as an Airforce Airman First Class during the Korean Conflict, and was a court reporter She was a member of the Greenbow Quilting Guild and the American Legion Post #201 in West Jefferson, Ohio

Martha is survived by four sons, Michael Peterson of Plain City, Terry A. (Tina) Gills of Columbia, SC, Larry D. (Bobbie) Gills of Eaton, and Gary G. (Tina) Gills of Wheelersburg; one daughter, Deborah A. (Samuel) Boggs of New Marshfield; a sister, Mary L. Bailey of Louisville, KY; 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren She was also preceded in death by her former husbands, C.L. Peterson and Perry W. Gills; four brothers; George R., Paul F., Earl, and Joseph Yinger; three sisters, Regina Yinger, Ilene Webber, and Imogene Huston.

Funeral Services will be held Sunday October 1, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at D.W. SWICK – NELSON FUNERAL HOME in New Boston with Dr. Robert Nelson officiating Interment will follow at Universal Cemetery in Rubyville with graveside Military Honors provided by James Dickey Post #23, American Legion Friends may call Sunday from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 p.m. at D.W.
