Margaret Faye (Messer) Lindsay

Margaret Faye Carroll Lindsay, 84 of Wheelersburg passed away Thursday December 1, 2016 at the home of her daughter. She was born December 10, 1931 in Portsmouth a daughter of the late Carl and Goldie Austin Messer. She was of the Apostolic Faith and a member of DAV Auxiliary. She loved going to church, reading her Bible, and enjoying time with her family.
Margaret is survived by two sons, Stephen L. Carroll and wife Toni of Powell, OH, Michael L. Carroll and wife Billie of Phoenix, AZ; a daughter, Sharon Dlesk of Portsmouth; a sister, Rosemary White of Sciotoville; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her husband of seven years, Charlie Lindsay; her first husband of fifty years, Lowell Carroll; and a brother, Charles Messer.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday December 7, 2016 at First Apostolic Church located at 2502 Grandview Avenue in Portsmouth with Rev. Donald Hammond officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Burial Park. Visitation will be Tuesday 6 to 8 p.m. at D.W. SWICK-NELSON FUNERAL HOME in New Boston and 12 to 1 pm Wednesday at the church.
