Marcus Eugene Carver

Marcus E. “Gene” Carver, age 69 of West Portsmouth, went to be with the Lord Thursday January 26, 2017 at his home He was born April 9, 1947 in Portsmouth to Vernon and Margaret (Fishburn) Carver Gene was a carpenter by trade, who could make anything, and was a member of the carpenters union He was a former Baptist minister and loved fishing and hunting

He is survived by his wife Virginia; a son Ronald Carver (Teresa) of West Portsmouth; two daughters, Pamela Sue Collier of West Portsmouth, Chrissy Bowman Gifford (Denver) of West Portsmouth; four brothers, Ralph Carver (Maxine) of West Portsmouth, David Carver (Louise) of Stout, Kenneth Carver (Wanda) of West Portsmouth, Daniel Carver (Karen) of West Portsmouth; three grandchildren, Nena, Ashley, Brandon; three great-grandchildren In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister in infancy.

Funeral Services will be 12 noon Monday, January 30, 2017 at D.W.
