Larry "Steve" Hamilton

Larry Steven Hamilton, 69, of Wheelersburg passed away  Saturday, February 27, 2021 at SOMC in Portsmouth.  Steve was born August 31, 1951 in Cleveland to the late Sherman and Daisy (Anderson) Hamilton.  Steve attended Glenwood High School and worked many years as a tow boat captain.  Steve loved his grandchildren and attending all of their activities.  He also enjoyed camping and fishing.

Steve is survived by his wife, Kathy; three sons, Steve Hamilton and wife Samantha of New Boston, Oakland Hamilton of Wheelersburg, and Zack Coriell and wife Julie of Batavia; a daughter, Karen Green of Wheelersburg; two brothers, Dennis Hamilton and wife Sue of CA and Ralph "Ed" Hamilton and wife Diane of South Shore, KY; a sister, Geraldine Casto of Pittsburg, PA; nine grandchildren, Mychael Hamilton, Adreonna McNutt, Alexis Atkins, Kiersten McGraw, Shannon Hamilton Ali Herrforth, Shyann Hamilton, Daisy Hamilton and Lilly Corriell; and six great grandchildren, Oakie Hamilton, Braxton McNutt, Quinley Herrforth, Grayson Comer, Cayde Stone, Shade Arthur who is on the way.  Steve was also preceded in death by a son, Larry Shannon Hamilton and a sister, Marcella Darby.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, March 4, 2021 at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME in New Boston where friends may call on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.  Interment will follow at Memorial Burial Park in Wheelersburg.  Face masks and social distancing are required.  Online condolences may be left at www.DWSwickFuneralHome.com.
