Larry L. Snyder

Age 79, of Portsmouth passed away Sunday, April 30, 2023, at his home. He was born October 8, 1943, to the late Harvey and Kathryn (Thompson) Snyder in Portsmouth. He was a member of Sand Hill Christian Baptist Church. The most important thing to him was his love for God and his family.

Larry worked in construction and loved to remodel. He was a member of the Laborers Local #83. He was a lover of music and loved playing his banjo. He loved horses and the outdoors, spending time camping with his late brother. Larry coached baseball for twelve years having the honor of coaching his sons.

Larry is survived by his wife of 58 years, Pam (Green) Snyder of Portsmouth whom he married January 15, 1965; three sons, John Snyder and wife Lori of Flint, Michigan, Mike Snyder of Portsmouth, and Brooks Snyder and wife Renee of Wheelersburg; four grandchildren, Ryan, Randy, Ian, and Krystal; six great-grandchildren and one on the way; a brother, Kenny Snyder and wife Yolanda of Eagle Pass, Tx; three sisters, Sharon Copas of Troy, Oh. Becky Justice of Portsmouth; and Peggy Dunaway and husband Ray of Rubyville; Sisters in law, Joyce Snyder Eubanks and Kay Snyder. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Jack Snyder, and Ray Snyder; two sisters, Shirley Blanton and Betty Young; and brothers-in-law Walt Blanton, Junior Young, Bill Copas, Paul Grant, and Dave Justice

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 4, 2023, at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME in New Boston with Pastor Jared Timberlake officiating interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Franklin Furnace.
