Katherine Fay (Craft) Irvin

Age 79 of Portsmouth, died Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at Southern Ohio Hospice in Portsmouth. She was born December 11, 1935 in Portsmouth to Robert and Agnes (Webb) Craft. She was an avid bowler for many years, loved being in the outdoors and taking care of the yard. Katherine never met a stranger as she was liked by everyone who ever met her.

She is survived by her husband Walter, five sons, Steven (Barb) Jarrells of Kentucky, Rodney (Connie) Jarrells of Portsmouth, David Jarrells of Gallipolis, Bill (Claudia) Jarrells of Kansas, Walter (April) Irvin of Portsmouth; two daughters, Debra Sorrell of Columbus, Sandra Giannetti (Mike) of Portsmouth; one brother Larry Craft (Renee) of Portsmouth; three sisters, Doris Wilson (Willie) of Mansfield, Pauline Spencer of Portsmouth, Marie McBee (Ted) of Portsmouth; 14 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; one great great grandson. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers, Kenneth Ray Craft, Bill Craft, Bobby Williams; two sisters, Joanne Loboginski, and Ruth Stone.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday, October 2, 2015 at D.W. SWICK – NELSON FUNERAL HOME in New Boston with Pastor Ralph Shaffer officiating  Friends may call Friday from 5 – 7 p.m. before the service.
