Judy Cook

Judy "Sis" Cook, 79, formerly of New Boston died Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2011 at Hempstead Manor. She was born Sept. 17, 1931 in New Boston, a daughter of the late Don and Thelma Briggs Layne. She was a former finisher with Outdoor Associates and attended Shale Hollow Baptist Church. Judy is survived by two sons, Charles E. Goddard and wife Linda of Columbus, Joe Goddard and wife Brona of Piketon; two sisters, Wanda Humble of Cleveland, Alma Goddard of New Boston; 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Cook on April 19, 2009. Services will be 11 AM Saturday, Feb. 5, 2011 at D.W. Swick Funeral Home in New Boston with Pastor George Vastine officiating. Burial will be at Scioto Burial Park. Visitation will be Friday 6 to 8 PM and Saturday 10 to 11 AM.
