Jonathan Ray Jewett, born on July 3, 1986, in Portsmouth, Ohio, passed away on September 8, 2024, in Sciotoville, Portsmouth, Ohio. A devoted father and loving brother, Jonathan is remembered for his deep love for his children, an a special bond with son, Zaiden Michael Jewett, and his baby sister, Angel Lorain Jewett-Zimmerman.
Jonathan was known for his selflessness and kindness. He cherished time spent with family and friends, often enjoying simple pleasures like cereal, biscuits and gravy, and his favorite treat of peanut butter and ice cream. Music was a significant part of his life, with a diverse taste that included artists such as Post Malone, Jelly Roll, Eminem, Green Day, and Tupac, resonating with his personal experiences.
An ardent nature lover, Jonathan found peace in the woods or by a pond, where he could reflect and relax. He was proud of his accomplishments, especially his role as a dedicated father and his self-taught skills in various areas of life. He had a unique bond with his little sister and held immense pride in her service as a veteran.
He had many friends that he cared about dearly, and a few that was more like brothers especially David Thornsberry he always said his face hurt from laughter when they was together, David Flannery, Cody Neff, Dj Carver, Danielle Havens, Cindy Spencer. A special friend Jamie Freeland his childhood friend and partner in crime.
Jonathan is survived by his father Johnny Ray Jewett, sister Angel Lorain Jewett-Zimmerman (David Thornsberry) significant other Randy Breanna Jordan(mother n law Stephanie Jordan) his four children: Whitney Jewett, Nathan Jewett, Zaiden Jewett and Emerson Jordan. three Nephews Alexander Jones whom he had a unique bond with, Ashton Crace and Devon Freeland. five niece's Charleston Nesser, Skyla and Lexi Freeland and Kayla & Chloe Stevens. he has one aunt Lorinda Yates, uncle Frederick Yates two cousins Chasity Bliss and Danielle Yates. Danny Harlow who was like a step dad.
He was preceded in death by both maternal and paternal grandparents. Erma and Everett Jewett, Vivian and Allen Yates, a wife Britany Jewett, one cousin Shane Yates, niece Destiny Freeland sister Misty Stevens step father Stu Hannah and his beloved mother Teresa Jewett. His family and friends will forever remember him as "Bubbers"," Jonny Boy" and "Jumpin Jonapin," an angel on earth whose compassion and love touched the lives of many. A Christian at heart, Jonathan's legacy of kindness and caring for others will live on in the hearts of those he loved.
Funeral Service will be held at 1:00P.M. Monday, September 23, 2024 at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME in New Boston. Interment will follow at Bailey Chapel Cemetery, Piketon, Ohio. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the services on Monday.
