Joey Dennis Gilliland

Age 49 of Lucasville, passed away Saturday, September 17, 2016 at his residence. He was born February 13, 1967 in Portsmouth, a son of Judy (Gearheart) Riggs and the late Glenn Thomas Gilliland, Jr. He attended Bonser Run Christian Baptist Church, was a carpenter, and had worked for the former N &S Railroad.

Besides his mother, Joey is also survived by his wife, Tammy (Moore) Gilliland; two sons, Zach (Kirby) Gilliland and Caleb (Marie) Copas; two daughters, Ashley (James) Meadows and Casey Gilliland; three sisters, Gina Gilliland (John Bender), Angela (David) Green and Julie Aeh; three brothers, Tommy (Kelly) Gilliland III, Anthony (Jamie) Gilliland, and Matthew (Angie) Gilliland; brother-in-law, Gary Aeh; grandchildren, Logan and Chloe Copas, Bentley, Izak, and Leo.  In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by an infant son, Austin, and an uncle, Charles “Buck” Gearheart.

Services will be 12:00 noon Thursday, September 22, 2016 at D.W. SWICK-NELSON FUNERAL HOME in New Boston with Pastor Kevin Yost officiating. Interment will follow at Scioto Burial Park. Visitation will be Wednesday 6 to 8 p.m and Thursday 11 a.m to 12 Noon at D.W.
