Jo Ann Erwin, 72 of New Boston passed away Sunday July 5, 2015 at Southern Ohio Medical Center’s emergency room. She was born September 10, 1942 in Baltimore, MD, a daughter of the late Joseph and Sarah Spearry Fry. She attended the First Church of God in New Boston and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and the dog she loved so much, Demi.
She is survived by her husband, William Erwin; a daughter, Leah Steele (Michael Scott) of Waverly; one son, David Steele (Elizabeth) of White Plains, MD; a step-son, Michael Erwin (Jackie) of Huntington, WV; four grandchildren, Dalton Scott (Stephanie) of Piketon, Daniel Steele of White Plains, MD, Sarah Steele of White Plains, MD, and Madison Erwin of Huntington, WV; and a great-grandchild, Payton Marie Scott.
Memorial services will be 6:30 p.m. Thursday July 9, 2015 at the First Church of God with Pastor Donny McKenzie officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the church. Private interment will take place on Friday at Memorial Burial Park.
