Jane Shover

Jane Shover, 70, of West Portsmouth passed away Friday, January 8, 2021 at Southern Ohio Medical Center.  She was born in West Virginia November 18, 1951 to Goble and Lucille (Castle) Yonts.  Jane worked as a manager at Subway and Burger Chef.  She also worked for Jim and Gail Palmer Advertising and she worked as a home health aid for many years.  In her spare time she enjoyed playing the lottery, slot games and other entertainment games on her phone.

Jane is survived by four sons, David Wayne Shover of Portsmouth, Derrick Ray Shover of Cincinnati, Michael Earl Shover and wife Veronica of Portsmouth, and Demitreus Remy of West Portsmouth; a brother, John Holly Younts and wife Hoot of South Carolina; a daughter in law Angela Collins; three grand children, Niki Burchett of Wheelersburg, Marie Tacket of Wheelersburg, and Chris Shover and her life partner Chet Aldridge of Portsmouth;  and eight great-grandchildren.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, David Wayne Shover Sr.; a daughter, Becky Sue (Shover) Remy; a brother, Goble Yonts Jr.; three sisters, Carolyn Sue Ramy, Sharon Lee Wolford, and Ines Marie Yonts.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 (noon) Thursday, January 14, 2021 at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME in New Boston.  Interment will follow at Friendship Cemetery.  Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 (noon) at the funeral home.  Online condolences may be left at www.DWSwickFuneralHome.com.
