Age 86 of New Boston, went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 7, 2017 at Best Care in Wheelersburg. He was born January 22, 1931 in New Boston to Allen and Nannie (Cassidy) Hamilton. Fakey was a 1950 graduate of Glenwood High School where he played basketball. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict He retired from the Village of New Boston serving the community as a Police Officer and Sanitary Worker. In his spare time, he loved to golf, walk, and was an avid collector of sports memorabilia He was a sociable man and enjoyed people, including the friends he made during his memberships with the New Boston Kiwanis, New Boston Eagles Club, and the James Dickey Post #23, American Legion.
Fakey is survived by his wife, Sharon (Wagner) Hamilton; daughter, Jayme (John) Miller of Sanford, NC; sister, Kay (David) Mills of Wheelersburg; brother, Wayne Horsley; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Carl Hamilton; two sisters, Freda Hamilton-Roe and Karen Sue Colegrove.
No services will be held at this time A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
