Jacqueline (Jordan) Hamilton

Jacqueline (Jordan) Hamilton, 84, of Eden Park passed away Tuesday January 17, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Portsmouth on April 24, 1938 to the late Jasper and Gertrude (Bear) Jordan. Jackie worked for many years at the Harts/Big Bear in Rosemount. She was a member of the Eastern Star. Jackie loved to crochet for her friends and family. It brought her joy to be outside or even just look through the window at all of God’s creation, she loved to watch the birds and she loved roses. Jackie spent hours each day listening to gospel music, she loved the Gaithers.
Jackie is survived by her daughter, Dorothy Bentley (David) of Eden Park; her twin brother, Jasper “Jack” Jordan Jr. of Camp Bennett; two grandchildren, David Lee Bentley Jr. (Emily) and Michael Jordan Bentley (Laiken); eight great grandchildren, Kaleb, Catelyn, Kaylee, David Lee III, Charlie, Kashton, A.J., and Emersyn. She was also preceded in death by a grand daughter, Courtney Nichole Stairs; her husband, James Hamilton; her brother Virgil Jordan and a sister, Louise Shumate. In lieu of flowers the family asks donations be made for funeral expenses to the funeral home.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 21, 2023 at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME in New Boston with Pastor Lorenzo Bentley officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Franklin Furnace. Friends may call Friday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home and an Eastern Star service will be held at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Online condolences may be left at DWSwickFuneralHome.com.
