David O. "Jack" Horner, 81, of Eden park passed away Sunday Sept. 30, 2012 at Southern Ohio Medical Center. Jack was born Aug. 3, 1931 in New Boston, a son of the late James O. Horner and Bessie Hanna Horner. Jack was also preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Joyce A. (Mullins) Horner and a sister, Beullah Henthorn. He is survived by a son, David Horner and wife Marlene of Lewis Co., KY.; 3 daughters, Barbara A. Horner of New Boston, Cynthia L. Blair of Minford and Julia K. Horner of New Boston. 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Jack was a U.S. Army veteran having served during the Korean War and was a retired brickhandler with 32 years at Harbison Walker. Services will be 2 PM Thursday Oct. 4, 2012 at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME in New Boston. Interment with military honors will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens conducted by James Dickey Post 23, American Legion. Visitation will be Thursday 12 noon till 2:00 PM at D.W.
