Hobson Overton Jr.

Hobson Overton Jr., 67, of Portsmouth passsed away Saturday November 25, 2023 at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth. He was born September 6, 1956 to the late Hobson Green Overton and Opal (Roe) Overton. He loved fishing and hunting. He also loved working, laying carpet, painting, and roofing among other things. He loved his family and was most happy when spending time with them. Hobson is surived by two sons, Lathan Chad Overton of Portsmouth and Hobson G. Overton III of Columbus; two daughters, Jessica Overton and Kayla Artressia both of Portsmouth; a sister, Coetta Overton of Florida; grandchildren, Herbie Evans III, Nicholas Evans, Andrew Evans, Joseph Frazier, Brendon Frazier, Caleb Frazier, Christopher Lute-Gilliam, Brayden Lute-Gilliam, Belitta Westenburg, plus other grandchildren; great grandson Roman Presley Evans and one on the way; two nieces, Aisha and Ali; and long time girlfriend, Kimberly Bender.
