Herbert Traylor

He met her at Millbrook Lake in 1936. They married at Russell, KY. in 1937 and had two children; a son and a daughter. She died in 1989 and he lived another 20 years. Herbert R. Traylor went home to be with the Lord on April 19, 2009 at Hempstead Manor in Portsmouth, OH. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Delph Traylor; two brothers, Roy and Bruce Traylor and one sister, Irmalee Adair. He was the son of the late Finley and Lora Nickell Traylor. He is survived by one son, Nolan (Nancy Blackburn) Traylor of Reynoldsburg and one daughter, Sharon (Bill) Webb of Minford; 4 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and a sister-in-law. Herb was a WW II Navy veteran, a 33rd Degree Mason and member of the Scottish Rite. He was a member of the Waverly Church of Christ and attended Central Church of Christ in Portsmouth. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Thursday, April 23, 2009 at D.W. Swick Funeral Home in New Boston with Denny Dawes, Minister officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Burial Park with Military graveside honors by James Dickey Post 23, American Legion. Visitation will be Wednesday 6 to 8 PM and Thursday 12 noon to 1 PM.
