Helen Fannin

Helen Marie Chase Fannin, 69 of North Moreland, died Thursday, December 18, 2008 at her residence. She was born April 20, 1939 in New Boston a daughter of the late Arthur Carl Chase and Myrtle Young Chase. She retired from Hillview as a nurses aid. Helen is survived by two sons, Randy Fannin of North Moreland and James Fannin and Jennifer Chaffin of Franklin Furnace; one daughter, Kristie Fannin and William Nichols of Portsmouth; one brother, Fred Chase of North Carolina; two sisters, Harriet Kay Vogel of Pataskala, OH., and Doris Riley of Canton;8 grandchildren, Derek Fannin, Mike Fannin, Jessica Flaker, Kyla Fannin, Billy Nichols, Allison Nichols, Kristen Hewey and Isabella Kay Fannin; two great grandchildren, Kaitlyn Fannin and Kiana Breech and several neices and nephews. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Gary and James Chase and a sister, Rita Workman.Visitation will be Tuesday Dec. 23, 2008 from 5 to 8 PM at D.W. Swick Funeral Home in New Boston with private graveside services and burial at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Donations may be made to the American Lung Assoc.
