Harold O'Banion

Harold G. O'Banion, 80 of Wheelersburg, died Friday May 10, 2013 at his residence. He was born Aug. 31, 1932 in New Boston, a son of the late Joe and Maude Shoemaker O'Banion. He was retired from the U.S Marines having served in Korea and Viet Vam. He is survived by his special friend and companion, Arlene Skinner of New Boston; 2 sons, Harold ( Debbie) O'Banion Jr. of Annold, MD and Jasper (Ina) O'Banion of Tallassee, AL.; 5 daughters, Gale (Carlton) Crim of Talladega, AL., Betty Rose (Jerry) Becton of Hahiri, GA., Sally McLean of Asheville, NC., Lisa Harpe of New Boston and Carol O'Banion of Portsmouth. 19 grandchildren, 28 grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Richard O'Banion. Services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday May 14, 2013 at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME in New Boston with Pastor Harold O'Banion Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens with graveside military honors by James Dickey Post 23, American Legion. Visitation will be Tuesday 12 to 1 PM at D.W. Swick in New Boston.
