Harold Dean Hoover

Harold Dean Hoover, 54, of Portsmouth passed away Friday, November 1, 2024 at SOMC Hospice Center in Portsmouth. Harold was born August 3, 1970 to the late Richard and Hazel Jo (Biars) Hoover of Portsmouth. He was a 1988 graduate of Clay High School and the Scioto County Joint Vocational School. Harold was a carpenter by trade and was retired from the service department of the Village of New Boston. He loved building model cars and redoing Chevettes.
Harold is survived by two daughters, Allison Hoover of Portsmouth and Deanna Hoover (Jacob) of Gallipolis; a brother and two sisters; special family members Ronald and Mary Hoover of Portsmouth; and many nieces and nephews.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 (Noon) on Tuesday , November 5, 2024 at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME in New Boston with interment to follow at Universal Cemetery in Rubyville. Online condolences may be left at DWSwickFuneralHome.com.
