Harold Galloway

Harold D. Galloway, 70, a wonderful husband, father and grandfather, died Tues., March 3, 2009 at SOMC Hospice Center. He was born Nov. 17, 1938 in Portsmouth, a son of the late Harry and Josie Galloway. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves and was proud of his accomplishments. He was a Christian man and loved to serve the Lord. He is survived by his wife, Sharon O'Hara Galloway; two sons, Harold D. Galloway and wife Michelle of Columbus, Steven R. Galloway and wife Kimberly of West Portsmouth; two daughters, Mary Jean Ratcliff of Portsmouth and Donna Kay Galloway of West Portsmouth; one brother, Kenny Galloway of Portsmouth; one sister, Lela Best of Waverly, 13 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by a son, Robert Galloway, a daughter, Patricia Galloway, grandson, Steven Galloway, 2 brothers, Bob and Roy Galloway and a sister, Mabel Hodge.Services will be 11 AM Fri., March 6, 2009 at D.W. Swick Funeral Home in New Boston. Burial will be at Scioto Burial Park with military honors by James Dickey Post 23, American Legion. Visitation will be Fri. 10 to 11 AM at D.W. Swick in New Boston.
