Harley Buffington, Sr

Harley R. Buffington Sr. 64, of Sciotoville died Saturday Jan. 17, 2015 at SOMC Hospice Center. He was born Aug. 12, 1950 in Wellston, a son of the late William and Minnie Lambert Buffington. He was a former Juvenile Corrections Officer and U.S. Navy veteran.

He is survived by a son, Harley Buffington Jr. and wife Jennifer of Cleveland, TN.; two daughters, Janet Stanley and husband Kenny of Wellston and Sarah Fraley of Sciotoville; 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild and a sister, Garnet Boyer. He is also survived by a brother-in-law, Theodore Fraley; sister-in-law Peggy Fraley, nephew Jason Fraley, niece Norma Boyer and several other nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Jeri Buffington; 3 brothers, Harry, Hank and Eddie Buffington and a sister, Virginia Buffington.

Services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday Jan. 20, 2015 at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME IN NEW BOSTON with Pastor Larry Moore officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Burial Park with military honors by James Dickey Post 23, American Legion. Visitation will be Monday 6 to 8 PM and Tuesday 12 noon to 1 PM at D.W.
