Glen Elliott Murphy

Glen Elliott Murphy, 53, of New Boston passed away Sunday, April 7, 2024 at Mt. Carmel St. Ann's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. He was born July 20, 1970 to Janet Sue (Adkins) Holbrook and the late James Thomas Murphy. Glen worked as a tree trimmer and loved climbing trees, being in the outdoors, exploring and fishing. He also liked to tinker with small motors. Most importantly, Glen loved his family especially his grandchildren.
Glen is survived by his mother, Janet Sue (Adkins) Holbrook; his wife of 35 years, Tamala (Craycraft) Murphy; three daughters, Kayla Murphy, Tessa Unger and husband Matthew, and Glenda Murphy all of Portsmouth; two brothers, James Murphy and wife Vickie, and Donald Murphy and wife Heather both of South Shore, KY; two sisters, Velma Holbrook and husband Brian of New Boston and Karen Thomas and husband Jeff of Vanceburg, KY; eleven grandchildren and one great grandchild. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by a sister, Katherine Beach and a brother-in-law, Andre' Beach.
